April challenge at Scrapbook Supplies Online - Follow your heart

We are almost at the end of April already, but there is still time to play in Scrapbook Supplies Online's April challenge. The sketches were posted a bit later this month so there are not too many participants - what a great chance to win one of the $25 gift certificates!!!
Here is my take on the sketch:

kraft, my mind's eye, banners

I mostly used MME's Follow my Heart collection, which is gorgeous! I had so much fun playing with it! Some additional touches are paper ribbon from Studio Calico in the bottom left corner, the letter and word stickers from MLS (aren't those words just adorable?) and the white ribbon tied around the title, which I got with my Unique Crafters' Guest DT pack. Here are some close ups:

You can't tell me you are not tempted to play with this great sketch and that fabulous prize. See you at the gallery!!!!

See you soon card

Hi, my friends, it has been some time since I posted something in my blog, and I am sorry to have taken so long, but I have been getting ready for my Art Studio classes so, though I have been scrapping a lot, I don't have anything to share with you.

Today, I would like to share a card I made for Practical Scrappers' embossing feature.

embossing, scrapbooking, butterfly

I really love this card in real life, though it was quite hard to take a good pic. I used ultra thick embossing enamel instead of regular embossing powder, as I love the enamel's bumpy look. It is a trifold card, as we are giving it to a friend who is moving, and lots of people will sign it, so we needed extra space. The envelope is embossed with white enamel, too. There are some fabulous embossed cards at Practical Scrappers today, click HERE to have a look at them.

This month, the Art Studio is preparing to launch. There's not much I can share with you yet, but I know there are great things coming! I'm sure you'll love the variety and quality of classes to be offered, and I have heard there will be contests and prizes coming, so if you don't want to miss a thing, go to SNR and click on Log In to register. It won't take much time but I can promise you it will be worth it!

The eye of God

Today we had the privilege of witnessing a rare metereological phenomenon called The eye of God. We were on our way to buying groceries when a friends called me because she had hear it on the radio. We stopped the car and had a look at it. There was a perfect rainbow around the sun!!! We rushed home to get the camera, but by the time we got there the clouds were starting to block our view. Still, a pretty amazing thing!

Have you ever seen an "Eye of God" in your area? It is supposed to be more common in colder weather, but very rare here. I'm happy we didn't miss it! And just for you to have another look, this is one photo that was published in today's Guardian TT newspaper:

Quick gift jar and an announcement

Today I am in charge of of the day's post at Practical Scrappers, and for that post I have created a very quick gift jar. I love gift jars, as you can have them ready and then fill according to need: chocolate, candy, tea bags, a little sewing kit, some crafts supplies, anything could go in and make a lovely little gift. Here is a sneak peek, and for the full view of the project, you can click HERE.

I am also very happy to announce I will be an instructor for Scrapbook News and Review's Art Studio. There is not much I can tell you yet, but it is going to be amazing and I am so excited to be part of this new adventure!!! There will be fabulous classes and if you could have a look at the class list I am sure you would want to enroll in some of them right now. Just get ready, the fun will begin soon!
