Scrap your stash update

Just a quick update on how I've done with the Scrap Your Stash Project this month. I've certainly scrapped my stash, as nothing new has arrived. I am expecting some kits to get home (keeping track of customs is a new hobby) and I must admit when I bought glue at Addicted to Scrapbooking, I added a few rhinestones packs, but that's all. It could be much worse, right? How has everybody done with this project? Check Denise's blog for more info!

Tobago

We spent the weekend in Tobago, and loved it! Total relaxation by the sea!!!!!!!!! I realised I'd not taken any pictures with my daughter for Aleida's challenge since we got here, so we took one together. Here it is:

I could spend much more than a weekend there - I'd have to take my scrapbooking with me, though!

Layout revealed

I can post the LO now, as it has already revealed at Let's Scrap.

It is based on sketch 1-26-11, and you have all week to check it up and post your own layout at Let's Scrap for a chance to win a prize.

Sneak Peak 1-26-11

I've been working on a LO for Let's Scrap's sketch 1-26-11, but I can't post until tomorrow, so here are a couple of sneak peeks:

It's a photo of a boat, and I was so lucky to find some nautical/beach themed papers and stickers I didn't even know I had! They must have come as part of my monthly kit, as they were still in the bag.

Let's Scrap - Resolution #14

Yes, I am doing the challenges in Let's Scrap's Blog Hop backwards, I started with #15 and I am doing a countdown! I had to make a card for a friend today, and I decided to follow the rules for Resolution #14 so I count enter it for that challenge. I had to use 1 ribbon/lace, 2 patterned papers, 3 flowers and 4 bling/gems. My friend prepared a very special lunch for us and my parents -who are visiting- yesterday, so I made a Thank You card for her today, and I put it in her son's school bag when I picked up my daughter at school. Here it is:

I don't like the way the faux stitching looks, but I had no time to hand stitch both papers and copics are not meant to do faux stiching, but that was the only brown pen I had (already bought some markers online, but I am waiting for them to get home on the mail). I like the overall look of the card, though, so I am happy with it.

And a second card... on the same day!

Yes, I know, some people can make ten cards in that time, but two in one day is a record for me! I made this card for Resolution #15 in Let's Scrap's Blog Hop. The challenge was to use teal, yellow and silver/grey and the word HAPPY. The yellow looks a little orange in the photo, and I sincerely hope the flowers and letters are TEAL, as I had to look the colour up in the dictionary!!!

Let's Scrap 1-19-11

This turned out to be a very easy card for me to make, everything clicked into place quickly and looked right to me, so no need to start moving things around. I love the fact that I could decorate the pocket using a Studio Calico advertisement, that's really scrapping my stash! They really send the most beautiful ads with their kits, and I always save them but had never used any before. The card is based on Let's Scrap sketch 1-19-11, and if you like this sketch (it's a card sketch but I've seen a fantastic layout based on it, too) you can still play until Wed 26.
