It is sketch feature time today at Practical Scrappers. I made this LO a month ago, as I mistakenly printed it instead of March's sketch. I had just received this gorgeous Webster's Pages vellum and it was perfect for this sketch. Not too much could be added to it, just some butterflies with beaded antennae, and a little Basic Grey paper ribbon (can't have enough of it, it is so lovely!) around the photo. An easy layout, but I love the delicate touch in my album!

Another double pager!
Yes, another double pager this week! This one is based on Let's Scrap sketch 4-27-11. I started working with Studio Calico State Fair's papers in mind, so I created this background with heat embossed numbers and letters. Then, on one of the trips to my scraproom (I was scrapping with DD in the living room), I found these Twig embellies and loved them, so it ended up being a different layout. Not sure I like the background for these embellies, but everything was glued and I didn't want to fussy cut everything to glue it on another background.

And more butterflies!
Practical Scrappers continues with the butterfly theme; today it's the time for layouts. With so many butterfly embellies around, I'm sure there will be lots of submissions from both DT and readers! My LO is based on a old pencillines sketch, though I don't remember its number:
I don't usually like using butterflies and flowers on layouts about DH, but this one was actually about this fabulous house we rented during our holidays, in Saltaro, Sweden, so I never paid attention to the fact that only DH was in the pic!

Butterflies, butterflies, butterflies!
It's butterfly feature time at Practical Scrappers. Today, the feature is cards with butterflies, and here is my card for it:
It's a very simple card, but I love the bright colours in it. A butterfly LO feature is coming next, so don't forget to visit Practical Scrappers and have a look!
Easter card
I'm so happy to see my Easter card at the Create: Blog! It was fun to make this card full of Easter egg flowers!
There are so many wonderful examples, you should have a look: http://create.northridgepublishing.com/departments/holidays/cards-challenge-gallery-and-new-challenge-32/
My absolute favourite is the card created by Karolyn Loncon, four bunny backs with button tails... just adorable!

Have a good time card
I've had such a busy week with my in-laws plus SIL visiting us that I forgot to post the card I made for this week's sketch at Let's Scrap. Debby's creating fantastic card sketches, which makes it easy to put a lovely card together in a short time. Here's my take on this week's sketch:
Love this design from Cosmo Cricket's Social Club line, it can make any project look great!
You still have plenty of time to post your take on Debby's card sketch and win a fabulous pack of trims and handmade vintage flowers from this week's sponsor, Frogfeathers.

Little Girl Projects
The feature at Practical Scrappers today is Little Girl Projects. I surely have enough of those, but I wanted to create a special one. I looked for some girly pics of my daughter, and I loved these ones. She had crawled to her bedroom, found a box with hairclips, and started putting them on. When we found her, she had a grin on her face and a look saying "look what I did!". I didn't want to use real hairclips as embellies, as they would be too heavy, so I made accents with paper and buttons.

Rain, rain, rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This week's LO feature at Practical Scrappers is Rain, Umbrellas and Puddles. I don't have too many pics of the kind, having spent the past 6 years by the Sahara desert, and the few I have are already scrapped. I started looking at my picture gallery, home pics, holiday pics, school pics, to see if I could find one for this theme, and finally found it! You won't probably notice it, but this was a sunny day! DD had new umbrella and raincoat, and decided she couldn't wait any longer, so she went out fully equipped for the imaginary rain!
I loved this rain technique I saw in this month's CK, so I decided to lift it, but giving it a girly touch. The flower brads were just perfect for this!

A double pager at last!!!
I have finally made double pager after a looooong time. There was no choice here, as I had so many pics I wanted to include that I needed the two pages. it is based on Let's Scrap's sketch for this week.
Love how the title turned out:
What I hate is that I cut almost whole page of circles from this beautiful patterned paper and then put them behind the photos, so nobody can see them. how can I still make this kind of mistake after so many years of scrapbooking?????

Fabric and stitching
Fabric and stitching were the two elements that had to be included for this week's DT challenge at Let's Scrap. Great chance to use up some cute fabric scraps I've had for some time:
The fence, the strip and the banner are fabric, as well as the pieces behind the torn patterned paper. I hand stitched on the green strip as well as two of the buttons. There are 18 pieces of chipboard!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to miss this chipboard set when it's finished, it's just too cute. My Stockholm a,lbum is definitely getting thicker and I love just looking at how big it's getting!!! Far from finished, though.

Notas
I created another notebook for this week's reveal at Let's Scrap. I can't help it, they look so cute that I think of them every time I see a sketch! I also used glitter+embossing powders on this one, love that combination!
Come and have a look at this week's sketch at Let's Scrap!
Great News
I'm very happy to announce I've been selected to be part of the creative team at Sketches2scrapbook. They create these fabulous Ipod applications with card and LO sketches and lots of examples to get inspiration from. There's a free version with some sketches for you to try, and there's a full release version, which includes lots of sketches and lots of examples based on these sketches. It is a totally self-contained system where you can search the sketches for the one that suits the layout or card you want to make - you can search by style, by number of photos, by embellishments, even by the number of different papers you want to use! As an Ipod fan, I believe this is a FANTASTIC way to take your inspiration everywhere you go. You can take it to crops and meetings, and also start planning layouts and cards while you are waiting for your children outside school or at the doctor's office. I'm just thrilled to have become part of the team!!!!

Happy Easter card
I have never created an Easter card before, and was a bit lost about what to do for this Practical Scrapper's feature, until this Easter egg chipboard banner came with my scrap-room kit. Isn't it yummy?
I used glitter and clear embossing powder, a tip I read in this month's Scrapbook Trends magazine and I found really helpful, as the glitter sticks perfectly and you don't find scattered glitter every time you open the envelope!
